Georgia Brown Ellis, 56, a resident of Jamestown passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday January 6, 2018 after a period of declining health. She was born January 13, 1961 in Greensboro the daughter of Richard Wayne Brown and Deborah Bercaw Brown.
Georgia was a graduate of Western Guilford High School and was of the Methodist faith. She had an infectious smile and contagious laugh that was second to none. She was very thankful for everyone that gave her care, especially her hospice nurse Meagan. She absolutely loved golfing...

Georgia Brown Ellis, 56, a resident of Jamestown passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday January 6, 2018 after a period of declining health. She was born January 13, 1961 in Greensboro the daughter of Richard Wayne Brown and Deborah Bercaw Brown.
Georgia was a graduate of Western Guilford High School and was of the Methodist faith. She had an infectious smile and contagious laugh that was second to none. She was very thankful for everyone that gave her care, especially her hospice nurse Meagan. She absolutely loved golfing with and cooking for family and friends as often as possible. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wayne Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Ellis of the home; two sons, Todd Ellis of Greensboro, Andy Ellis and wife Aom of Jamestown; her mother and step-father, Deborah Brown Weir and husband Fred of Raleigh; two sisters, Julie Brown Dickerson and husband Jeff of Kernersville, Samantha Brown Kirby and Jeff Wilson of Greensboro; one grandson, Aiden Ellis and twelve nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Georgia will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Kelley Groce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering following the service at Adam's Farm Clubhouse, 1903 Adams Farm Parkway in Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Georgia's memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
